VALUES STATEMENT
At Destiny Covenant Church, Inc., (a/k/a Destiny Covenant Ministries) we value and are committed to:
Our Credo
At Destiny Covenant Ministries., we are committed to powerful, strategic prayer; systematic bible study and preaching the Word of God. We believe that in order to develop dynamic disciples there must first be efficient and effective evangelism and a comprehensive Christian Education ministry for all ages. We recognize that those that need to be reached may not always come within our four walls, thus we are committed to quality outreach to meet the needs of those who may not be churched. We are committed to Luke 4:18: preaching the Gospel, releasing the captives, recovering the sight of the blind and setting free those that are downtrodden. We are committed to the assembly of the saints and that in that assembly powerful worship and fellowship shall take place. We are committed to strong families, helping others reach their God-ordained destinies, developing integrity and strong stewardship and birthing leaders and ministries – all to the Glory of God!.
MISSION STATEMENT
At Destiny Covenant Church, Inc., our mission is to equip others to reach their God-ordained purposes and to fulfill the Great Commission in the earth.
VISION STATEMENT
The vision of Destiny Covenant Church, Inc., is to innovatively reach the unchurched and disciple them in such a way that they become vibrant, members of the Body of Christ; knowing and pursuing their God-ordained purposes. Our goal, in addition to the traditional model of church is to reach beyond the "four walls" of the church building and to reach people everywhere through technology and other forms of media. Our vision is multi-faceted and can be described with three key words. They are (1) Evangelism, (2) Education, and (3) Edification.
Evangelism
First and foremost evangelism is a very important aspect of our ministry. In our fulfillment of the Great Commission we must bring others first to a saving knowledge, belief and acceptance of Christ. We realize that our goal is to bring unbelievers and the unchurched to Christ. Our strategies for evangelism shall be both systematic and relational. We will not necessarily use just one approach to evangelism, but many approaches. Our focus is through evangelism teams, technology and mass media.
Education
In fulfilling the Great Commission we are admonished to make disciples of men. We must provide efficient and effective modules of Christian Education for all ages. Some of our modules for Christian Education include traditional models such as New Believers and New Members Classes, Sunday School, Bible Study and Bible Institute, Vacation Bible Study, Children’s and Youth Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Men’s Ministry and other ministries to meet target areas within our congregation. In addition, as the church grows we will have less traditional educational and fellowship settings, such as cell groups conducted by trained “cell leaders.” We will also use technology and mass media to fulfill this vision.
Because we are committed to developing and birthing leaders and ministries, we will have leadership and ministry classes to help those who are leaders and/or called into ministry. We will develop quality modules to help walk participants in their stages of developing their leadership and ministry skills.
At Destiny Covenant Church, Inc., we are committed to helping others reach their God-ordained purposes. We will teach classes to help others tap into their destiny in God and encourage and uplift through our edification process.
Edification
Vibrant worship shall take place on at least a weekly basis, to lift up the hearts of the people, and for opportunity for the gospel to be preached. Corporate worship will also allow a setting where God is praised worshipped and by us tapping into the heartbeat of God, miracles shall take place. Vibrant worship will also allow opportunity for artistic gifts to be utilized such as singing, liturgical dance, and other art forms to give God the Glory.
As a part of edification we realize that every ministry must be "sealed in prayer." We will develop strategic models of prayer that consist of traditional models and those using technology and mass media. Not only are we called to pray for ourselves and family, but we are also called to pray for the nations (including the United States of America).
